Muad’Dib learned rapidly because his first training was in how to learn. And the first lesson of all was the basic trust that he could learn. It’s shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult. Muad’Dib knew that every experience carries its lesson.

I feel like there was stuff about Ronette they didn’t tell/didn’t get to tell in the series, film, and related media. Then again, I coulda missed stuff. I only recently realized that

  5. So you know how sometimes you fixate on a more minor character in a television series? Like someone who only has a few big parts in the plot, not in every episode, but you build them up in your mind? That’s how I am with Ronette Pulaski from “Twin Peaks.”

Is anyone else super obsessed on her importance? Particularly her importance to Laura, the fact she was the reason the FBI was called in… Lemme know what you think, Twin Peaks friends.

  10. frailcreature asked: In your post about people relating to Eponine - Eponine was under 18 in the book? Eponine is a character made to be related too, don't hate on that. NOT having ago, I just love Les Mis too much to ignore it.

I’ll give that she was both under 18 AND made to be somewhat sympathetic…but 3/4 of the folks who claim to relate to her are ONLY relating to the musical/sometime-film-adaptation aspects of her, where it focuses mainly on her role as the ignored side of the love triangle. All I ask is that those relaters look at the entirety of her situation before blindly fluttering along.
